Travel costs can be lowered by thousands of dollars each year. Clients have used CBT to reduce the number of employees traveling to training sessions in addition to shortening the training course
itself. Candidates for a training course must first use the computer based training program to learn the basics of a particular subject.
After passing a test at the end of the module to demonstrate a certain level of knowledge, employees are then eligible for the centralized training.
In effect, the CBT qualifies individuals for further training. Because individuals then come to a course prepared for additional learning, teachers spend much less time covering basics or
information that has already been covered in the CBT.
